Thanks Tim - appreciate your support and thanks for what you are doing. I have just been listening to a new James Delingpole podcast where he is talking to "prepper" James Walton - https://www.podbean.com/ew/pb-3nmqz-127dc43 and the interview reminded me of the importance of community - even remote community - where we can learn and discuss the challenges of life.

Excellent Reuben - as ever. Thank you for the reference and quote from Pitchfork Papers. Always nice to see one’s own prose repurposed and given a fresh context. Some interesting links in this week as well, especially the Tehran series which I am sure I would have missed and the Trump book which I suppose I will now have to read (although I am deeply engrossed in rereading Bernard Connolly’s 1995 Rotten Heart of Europe to which I refered in my letter yesterday and which is still superb.) Thank you for your writing and God bless you.

Thanks Steven - you are too young to remember the Cilla Black hit - Alfie - a unlikely chart topper. The opening line is "what's it all about Alfie, is it just for the moment we live?" I think that we're all trying to work out what it's all about and perhaps with some different perspectives as we hold up the circle of life, we may be able to get closer to the truth. Thanks for the Pitchfork Papers which never cease to provide fresh insights about life and its challenges.

Thanks for the question and unfortunately I don't seem to have many good Canadian sources. I realised today that I also have very few New Zealand sources and info and they are right next door to us. So I need to expand my horizons.
