Like many of my Sons of Issachar readers, I am a great fan of the United States and understand the debt we owe to the country’s Founding Fathers and the remarkable document The Declaration of Independence. I first visited the U.S. in 1978 and was captivated by the friendliness of people, their love of their country and the great customer service, which was unknown to Australians who had grown up with a British tradition of no customer service. Since my initial visit to the U.S., I have had many trips stateside and spent extended periods living in different parts of the country. When you attend college football games or a Thanksgiving dinner, you see a love of country and a deep patriotism that are largely unknown in other countries. I can understand the recent bewilderment of an Australian woman who has been roundly criticized in the U.S. media because in a TiKTok video she said that “were too many U.S. flags” in the U.S! – see this link. I too was bewildered at this patriotic fervour when first encountered.
Over the period 1978 to 2000, I imagine that there was some political polarization but the gap between Democrats and Republicans did not seem that great. I lived in the U.S. during the Reagan years, and while he was not generally supported by Democrats, he was respected, and his personality and style were uniting. The 9/11 attacks saw the rise of the surveillance state implemented by George W. Bush. Then with the Iraq war and the fake “weapons of mass destruction” claims, I saw an increase in suspicion about the government.
During the eight years of the Obama presidency, what was concerning was President Obama’s desire to bring about a transformation of America and to move it decisively to the left. He was successful with the disastrous “Obamacare” – the health care solution that has cost Americans a lot of money for worse health outcomes. Obama’s own pastor, Jeremiah Wright, had stated “God damn America” in 2008 and it was clear that both Barrack and Michelle Obama carried large chips on their shoulders. Speaking to Americans in different parts of the U.S. then, there was real division evident. Many worried that Obama was really a communist, given his links to the radicals Bill Ayers and Saul Alinsky. There also was concern that Obama worsened race relations.
Division in America
However, the real divisions became evident during the Trump v Clinton presidential battle. As the Trump supporters chanted “lock her up” during the 2016 presidential election campaign, I sensed that a divide had been crossed. Trump, with his unique style and bravado, seemed to cause either love or loathing. Many people became apoplectic when speaking about Trump and a new psychological term was created: “Trump Derangement Syndrome”. I experienced this first hand in Sydney International Airport in 2017 when I went to meet a US visitor wearing my “Make America Great Again” cap. I was yelled at and abused by a number of people who were waiting in the arrival hall. I haven’t worn the cap to the airport since then.
If Biden did win the 2020 presidential election (which is extremely unlikely, given the postal ballot rorting and stacking of ballot boxes in key counties), it was because voters wanted some sense of normalcy. Instead, a doddering president showed himself to be under the total control of the extreme left of his party. Dozens of executive orders were brought to the president to sign and because he is little more than a puppet, he signed anything put before him. Radical energy policies were enacted destroying U.S. energy independence, borders were flung open, overtures made to Iran, and sizable sums taken from the US Treasury and transferred to global organizations like the UN and WHO. A war was begun with conservatives after the January 6th US Capitol demonstration, followed by purges of the US military and weaponization of the Department of Justice. Since then, the FBI, Justice Department, US Citizenship and Immigration Service and even Department of Defense have been politicized. The Attorney-General, Merrick Garland, has shown himself to be the most political law operative in US history and now the Justice Department, along with many Democrat Attorneys-General have been weaponized against Republicans and that Democrat bête-noir – Donald J Trump.
The Trump Indictments
The Trump indictments are a portent of disaster for the US and its position as a beacon for the free world. There is a widespread view among many Democrats and some Republicans (plus probably a majority of Europeans, Britons and Australians) that Trump is a threat to democracy and that whatever can be done to remove him, is valid. However, at the heart of the series of indictments is a philosophy that is Soviet in origin. Lavrentiy Beria is described as “the most ruthless and longest-serving secret police chief in Joseph Stalin’s reign of terror in Russia and Eastern Europe”. He has been said to have been able to prove criminal conduct for anyone and his famous saying was, “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime”. This has been the de facto slogan of Democrat law officers – show them Trump and they’ll show you the crime.
US Attorney-General Merrick Garland seems to have taken this idea to heart, together with a range of Democrat prosecutors in Washington, New York and now Georgia. There appears to have been careful coordination of the indictments because they were made within 24 hours of new revelations about Hunter Biden. Various sources have reported that Hunter’s cash for vice-presidential access program resulted in tens of millions of dollars (now approaching $30 million) that Hunter collected from countries where his father had responsibility as Vice-President. The two standards of justice can be easily seen by the way most of the media has ignored the deepening scandal about the Biden crime family. It is an interesting thought exercise to do a search and replace of Hunter and Joe Biden with Don Jnr and Donald Trump. Can you imagine the headlines if it was Don Jnr who was shown to have links to China, Romania and Ukraine and had collected $30 million while Donald Trump was Vice-President? Every news station in the world would be reporting this scandal. Yet, we hear almost nothing about the Biden family and their evident corruption.
The Trump indictments are almost comical in their extent. There are 91 counts in four different jurisdictions and the total potential jail term could be up to 712 years! The New York Post has a good article covering all the indictments and you can read it at this link:
The latest indictment is from the Georgia, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who called an 11:30pm press conference this week to make the announcement. Willis indicted half of Trump’s colleagues with a total of 19 defendants. Clearly, there has been coordination by the cunning Democrat prosecutors to maximize publicity and keep the focus on Trump and off Biden.
It is not even worthwhile discussing the merits of the cases, which are overtly political and experts like Harvard Emeritus Professor Alan Dershowitz, have condemned the prosecutions – see this link. The problem for regular US citizens, is how can they trust any part of the left-wing dominated US system. The extreme left has gained philosophical control of the universities, media, politics, technology, major companies, the finance system and now the judiciary. The Supreme Court has a slight majority of conservative justices but this won’t last very long and Democrats have been targeting the Supreme Court for reform and expansion since President Trump appointed three new justices.
Two Americas and Scenarios for the Future
If you look at a map of the US, you see that Democrats control most of the east and west coast while Republicans control much of the centre of the US where the land size is greater but the population is lower. This is evident on a map of the current US voting trends
Figure from https://www.governing.com/assessments/what-painted-us-so-indelibly-red-and-blue
The map indicates with clarity that we are dealing with two Americas. More than 80 million people voted for President Trump in 2020, and the majority of these voters live in the centre of the US. Their viewpoints are irreconcilable with those of the coastal voters. This spells disaster for a “united states” as, in the longer term, the views of the extreme Marxist collectivists on the coasts are in total opposition to conservatives in the centre of the nation. It is hard to see this ending well for the U.S., and therefore there will be downstream problems for all of us related to international peace and trade. I have been thinking about this issue for the last few years, and here are a few scenarios that I can see ahead:
The emergence of a police state, as Democrats gain total control of the political and judicial systems. Conservatives will be sidelined because of charges of white nationalism and terrorism. This approach is already well underway following the shameful arrests and jail terms of many of the January 6th protestors.
An uprising by patriotic Americans, who have constitutional justification for the overthrow of a wicked government. It is hard to see this ending well, and the most likely outcome is the imposition of martial law.
President Trump surprisingly wins the U.S. Presidential election from a jail cell in Georgia. Left-wing paid agitators riot in all the main U.S. cities. After looting, burning and violent demonstrations by those who see Trump as a threat to “democracy”, the Biden administration imposes martial law.
The red Republican states move to secede from the Union. This process would be complex and legally difficult. However, if law and order had broken down, it may be that the Republican governors would band together to seek a withdrawal from the union.
The war with Ukraine extends into Europe so the U.S. becomes involved with troops in Ukraine. At the same time, China invades Taiwan. A state of emergency is called, with the imposition of martial law and introduction of the draft. America unites behind a wheel-chair bound president who is still able to read from a teleprompter.
Everything returns to how it used to be, and there is a national agreement that the principles of the Republic and the Constitution need to be respected. Peace and harmony break out across the U.S. Jesus returns!
Option 6 seems highly unlikely and all the other possibilities are horrific. However, I can’t see anything positive happening, given the current political trajectory. What is happening in the U.S. and in many other Western nations is the rise of lawlessness. This is not a new phenomenon but was evident in ancient Israel at the time of the prophet Isaiah. Isaiah proclaimed:
“Justice is turned back,
And righteousness stands afar off;
For truth is fallen in the street,
And equity cannot enter.
So truth fails,
And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.” (Isaiah 59:14-15).
We are living in difficult and dangerous times. The international public-private partnerships continue to gain strength and support the rise of global governance and ultimately dictatorship. The Bible clearly outlines the end of days scenario that is consistent with this but of course we can’t presume where we are in God’s calendar. Nevertheless, we need to be prepared for hard times, which appear to be coming sooner than later.
I used to think that President Trump could be a saviour for America. I now realize that there was only one Saviour and He had a grim end at the hand of corrupt bankers. I love America, and all it stands for. It is a country with extraordinary resilience, and who knows, it may come through the next 18 months without any major unrest. However, I can’t see this road emerging without the silent majority taking a stand for true justice and pushing back against the Marxist agenda that seeks the very destruction of the country. We all need to pray for America.
ARTICLES THAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION THIS WEEK
Ongoing COVID-19 Vaccine Problems
Steve Kirsch continues to uncover a variety of COVID-19 vaccines issues. In the last week, he has focused on a number of unexpected deaths, likely due to COVID-19 vaccination
Also he pointed out that the Apple Valley Village Health Care Center in Minnesota had a dramatic rise in deaths after introduction of the COVID-19 vaccine
The vaccines caused an extraordinary increase in death rates but this was hushed up. In another shocking report, Kirsch reveals that at nearly 20% of residents at a nursing facility died following COVID vaccination
Thank you God for Steve and his unrelenting campaign to seek and promote the truth about the impact of COVID vaccination.
America No Longer Stands for Liberty and Justice for All (from World Affairs Brief – www.worldaffairsbrief.com)
World Affairs brief is worthwhile subscribing to and has weekly information that seeks to draw together alternative news sources. This is an extract from a recent report:
“The two-tiered justice system in the United States is on display as never before—for those who are willing to look beyond the mainstream media’s biased news reports and see the Deep State covering for serious bribery and influence peddling by the Biden family while prosecuting Donald Trump for speaking freely about the stolen election. The unequal playing field was obvious again this week. With the latest indictment against Trump comes with powers of discovery—the right of the defendant to subpoena documents to defend his case that the election was indeed stolen. But to thwart that legal tactic, Trump found out this week that the Jan 6th House investigative committee destroyed all their records so that Trump couldn’t get access to them. Meanwhile Rep. James Comer released more bank data on the Biden family showing the illegal payments from foreign nations is now up to $20 million from $17 million—little of which was ever declared as income.”
Rich Men North of Richmond
Readers may not have caught this viral video clip from Oliver Anthony, a Virginian singer-songwriter who expresses the challenge of honest workers battling the government. ZeroHedge expressed it this way:
“The sound is also rooted in the classic country tones of performers like Hank William's Jr, escaping the boring overproduced robot music of the modern era. Rich Men North Of Richmond is simple, but Anthony's talent is undeniable. The song is also honest in its observations, so it's not surprising that the media is unsettled by it.”
Somehow, the song caught the mood of the silent majority and the Washington elite – the “rich men north of Richmond”. Here is the clip:
Blair Institute Kept Advising Saudis After Khashoggi Murder
Tony Blair, despite being made a Knight of the Order of the Garter by the late Queen, has been a long-standing target for the left in the UK. Blair’s support of George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq even led to people trying citizens arrests. Blair has long-standing partnerships in the Middle East through his Blair Institute. Now the UK Times has reported this week – “Sir Tony Blair’s institute continued to advise the government of Saudi Arabia after the murder of the dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi and still receives money from the Gulf kingdom”.
Khashoggi was a former journalist who was a thorn in the side of the Saudi Crown Prince. Khashoggi was lured to the the Saudi embassy in Istanbul and then killed and dismembered. Somehow, tbe Crown Prince was able to get away with his denial of any involvement. The Times reporters Gabriel Pogrund and Harry Yorke write that:
“According to a rare statement from his office, given to The Sunday Times, he (Blair) took the “view then and remains strongly of the view now that staying engaged there is justified” despite the “terrible crime” in question. He based his view on the “immense and positive importance” of the crown prince’s reforms and the country’s “strategic importance” to the West.”
This is a terrible story and indicates the enormous influence of the extreme wealth of Middle East royalty. Tony Blair seems to have stepped into the spotlight again recently in the UK and is influential with the Labour Leader and likely future UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer.
As an American, I appauld your understanding of the political crisis we are experiencing in the United States. I wish that more of my fellow citizens could see the truth as you see it.
I agree that option six seems highly unlikely, as much as I would wish so. Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
