PJ O'Rourke was ahead of his time and interesting that he wrote for Rolling Stone for so long. I don't think he'd get a gig there today. I haven't read "Game of Mates" and will get hold of it and will see what I can do to track down Cameron Murray and Paul Frijters. So interesting to see an Australian part of the bigger picture (I suppose we are just a resource centre for China). I see that Paul is currently at the LSE which is of concern. I will do some more research and really appreciate your feedback. Clinton Cash also was a seminal work for me as it demonstrated the extraordinary network and corruption of the Clintons. Nothing changed - the BIdens just used a different business model!

The book that well and truly woke me up to world corruption was the epic “All the Trouble in the World by PJ O’Rourke !! It was early 1990’s and I was just out of uni and working my first job in Tunisia. Years later I read Peter Schweitzer’s Clinton Cash (which was epic) and then “Game of Mates” by Cameron Murray and Paul Frijters (Australia). This book later morphed into” Rigged” - you can check it out at gameofmates.com . Can’t wait to read Controligarchs by Seamus Bruner now that I’ve listened to this podcast. If you haven’t read these books I highly recommend. It would also be great if you could interview Cameron Murray or Paul Frijters. It would be such a good listen ! Thanks for another fantastic podcast Reuben!
