Like many, I have been looking at the video clips and various maps and diagrams of the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on the evening (US time) of Friday 12 July. I have also read many analyses about the attempted assassination of the former president. Many questions remain but it seems unlikely that they will be answered.
The Attempted Assassination of Donald J Trump
You don’t need to be a security expert to realize that there were dramatic lapses in security, and this can be easily seen from this link that has a map of the rally site in Butler, PA.
Figure 1. Map of the Trump rally site in Butler, Pennsylvania – from CBS News
It is extraordinary that despite security being alerted to the presence of the gunman on the roof, perhaps even one hour before the shooting, and snipers who had a clear view, no action was taken until the gunman almost killed Donald Trump and shot three other people.
Very quickly, a range of conspiracy theories were launched on the internet, and you never know, all of them could be correct! It is widely accepted that the CIA promoted the term “conspiracy theory” to deal with any ideas apart from the official narrative about the assassination of President John F Kennedy on 22nd November 1963. Most people now accept that the Warren Commission was a whitewash. Much of the key evidence the Federal Government retains has been kept secret for 60 years. Robert F Kennedy Jnr has expressed the view that the deaths of both his father (Robert F Kennedy) and his uncle (John F Kennedy) were planned by the CIA.
There is a widespread opinion that most purported conspiracies are, in fact, “stuff-up” rather than a conspiracy. I used to believe that view but now find it difficult to accept the “stuff-up” theory. For example, the appearance of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the “safe and effective” vaccines, and the “build back better”—all of these look like real conspiracies rather than “stuff up.” The CIA as an organization is unaccountable and we will never know what goes on behind the scenes.
Sam Faddis, whose substack I have quoted in previous newsletters, and is a former CIA officer, posted an interesting column this week titled: Trump Is Lucky To Be Alive – I Have Some Questions. Here is a section from Faddis’ post that I thought was helpful in relation to apparent failures in Trump’s security:
“How did the shooter know he could safely and securely occupy the elevated firing position from which he shot? You don’t grab your AR, climb up on top of a roof a little over a hundred yards from a guy under Secret Service protection and hope that you have line of sight, that there is no Secret Service team already on the roof or that you will not be shot by a sniper with overwatch. You KNOW those things before you climb up there.
How?
The more sinister answers would involve this being some kind of inside job and collusion between the shooter and the people “protecting” Trump. Anybody who has been following the news the last many years would be hard-pressed to say that is impossible.
A more prosaic answer would be that the shooter was allowed the freedom of maneuver to sit and watch as the Secret Service set up and thereby identify the gaps in their protection. That would mean that the Secret Service failed to deploy any meaningful counter-surveillance presence in advance of the event. In other words, they didn’t have anybody out on the ground watching for pre-attack surveillance and preventing bad guys from gathering intelligence.
We are already hearing significant buzz that Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas had repeatedly denied requests to beef up Trump’s detail. It therefore seems more than plausible that the men and women in Butler were working without all the tools they needed.
How is it possible Secret Service left an elevated firing position in proximity to the stage unsecured? The best information I have says the rooftop from which the shots were fired is 130 yards from the stage where Trump was standing. A halfway decent shot with a modern AR and good sights in broad daylight shooting from a supported firing position will hit his target every time at this range. Saying the rooftop was outside the secure area begs the question. Why was that location not secured?……
There has been a lot of talk about the Secret Service chief, who used to run security for Pepsi, making her primary focus diversity, equity, and inclusion. Has that rot taken the edge off the Secret Service?”
Faddis is proposing both stuff-up and conspiracy concerning the shooting. I’m sure he is correct. Mr Faddis followed up 2 days ago with further information from what he says are reliable sources:
“The security detail guarding Donald Trump was overworked and stretched too thin. Many of its regular members were off duty because they needed rest before they could return to their jobs. Their places were taken by substitutes pulled from a variety of other positions. That means you did not have a team on the field that had practiced together. You had the functional equivalent of a pickup basketball game.
In addition, Secret Service resources were stretched thin because both Jill Biden and Kamala Harris were having competing events in Pennsylvania. Those events took priority in terms of resources over that of the former President.
Compounding the problem was the fact that the site agent, who is in charge of putting all security measures for a particular event in place, was a relatively inexperienced agent from the Pittsburgh field office. How many of the other personnel on-site had been pulled in from desk positions and how much experience in the field they actually had remains unclear.
These facts are coming out against the backdrop of information suggesting that Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle was put in her position at the request of Jill Biden personally.”
It will be difficult to find actual facts about the Secret Service failures because the White House cannot permit a truly independent investigation. If I were Trump, I would employ my own private security service.
Another substack post that I found valuable was from Michael Snyder, titled: Ten Burning Questions That Every American Should Be Asking About The Trump Shooting
Here are Snyder’s questions, in abbreviated form:
How did the shooter get so close without being seen by the Secret Service? It is being reported that he was able to crawl on to a roof that was just 130 yards away from Trump…
Why weren’t security personnel on that roof? Every roof that had a direct line of sight to Trump should have been covered, and a former SWAT commander is saying that what we just witnessed was “a fundamental security failure”…
Why didn’t authorities respond when they were warned about a man with a gun? One witness says that he repeatedly tried to warn law enforcement about the shooter but he was ignored…
According to testimony from another eyewitness, the shooter actually had time to “move from roof to roof” before he started shooting at Trump. If people in the crowd could see this movement, why couldn’t the Secret Service?
Once the shooting started, why did it take so long for the Secret Service to get to Trump?
Why was security so much better at previous Trump rallies? One man that was there when Trump was shot said that there was a “noticeable” difference between security at this rally and security at a previous rally that he had attended…
U.S. Representative Mike Waltz claims that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas turned down requests for better Secret Service protection for Trump on multiple occasions. Why did he do this?…
Did inflammatory rhetoric inspire the shooter to do what he did? As J.D. Vance has aptly observed, the Biden campaign has been labeling Trump as “an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs”…
I think that the timing of this shooting was very interesting. If Trump was killed just before the convention, he would not be the Republican nominee. So who would have come out of the convention as the replacement nominee?
How will this shooting affect the general election?
These are all good questions. Some will be answered in the days ahead but some may never be answered to the satisfaction of all. Could it just be incompetence that allowed an armed man to climb up onto the only unguarded vantage point, 150m from where Trump was speaking?
To me, this looks like planned incompetence. It interesting that Secret Service resources were diverted for a rally by Jill Biden in Pittsburgh, PA, announced only 78 hours before the Trump shooting. Had it not been for Trump turning his head to look at a monitor in the second before the shot, there is no doubt he would be dead. Trump himself acknowledges this and posted this message on Truth social:
“Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our faith and defiant in the face of wickedness. Our love goes out to the other victims and their families. We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so horribly killed. In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand united, and show our true character as Americans, remaining strong and determined, and not allowing evil to win. "
The Republican National Convention (RNC) and Trump’s Nomination in Milwaukee
This week, the RNC took place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Many of the attendees have been wearing white bandages on their right ears in solidarity with Trump. Trump has told an interviewer that he had “torn up his speech” and planned a completely different speech at the Republican National Convention at the end of this week. Politico reported on Monday, US time, that:
“After the shooting, he (Trump) scrapped his original convention speech that was going to take aim at President Joe Biden and his administration’s policies in favor of an address focused on trying to unite the nation. Trump sees his new speech as “a chance to bring the whole country, even the whole world, together…”.
Tucker Carlson gave a speech today at the RNC that is worthwhile watching. He told stories that demonstrated Trump’s humanity and the importance of his stand for democracy – protecting the people of the United States.
I have just watched Trump’s 90 min speech (Thursday evening US time) shortly before I send out this newsletter. He seemed subdued and described the attempted assassination in very personal terms. He asked for the support of all Americans (“there’s love in the room”) in an agenda for America’s renewal, which includes: tax cuts and stopping any taxes on tips. Also on Day 1 of his new administration, Trump said that he would secure the borders, stop the wars and “drill baby drill”.
He also said that after the shooting in Butler, PA: “What is clear is that every single moment we have here on earth is a gift from God”. He concluded his speech saying “America’s future will be bigger, better, bolder, brighter, happier, stronger, freer, greater and more united than ever before. Quite simply put, we will make America great again.”
The former president credited the chart below, which he showed at his rally in Pennsylvania last week, for saving his life, because he turned toward the chart which was displayed behind him, and the assassin’s bullet only clipped his ear.
Figure 2. Chart shown by Trump at his rally in Pennsylvania and during his speech at the RNC demonstrating the dramatic increase in illegal immigration into the US
It will be difficult for the Democrats to re-frame their central message that “Trump is a threat to democracy, humanity, and freedom”. Biden looks increasingly frail, day by day, and now he has COVID. Democratic Party leaders (now including Barack Obama) have privately (of course, the story leaked) told Biden that his continuing candidacy could imperil Democrats in the November elections.
It seems certain that Biden can’t last as the Democratic Party nominee. The big challenge is how to parachute in Michelle Obama (it’s difficult to believe that Kamala Harris could be the nominee) and the process they will use.
Undoubtedly, a majority of US voters are ready for the positive message that Trump conveyed in his speech today. If Trump and his vice-presidential running mate, JD Vance, can continue to articulate a clear agenda for 2025-2029, there could be an election landslide in an election that becomes “too big to rig”.
Senator JD Vance
President Trump’s selection of JD Vance as his vice president is a bold and significant choice. I have followed Vance’s story closely since reading his book, first published in 2016, Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis. It is a powerful book, and undoubtedly, his book will sell many more copies now that Vance has been thrust further into the spotlight. If you haven’t time to read the book (which I highly recommend), here is a summary. I also recommend viewing the film on Netflix based on the book, which is compelling and demonstrates a story of resilience and hope.
Forbes magazine has provided some interesting facts about Trump’s presidential running-mate:
“Vance—a 39-year-old veteran of the Iraq War, Yale-educated lawyer and former venture capitalist—was elected to the Senate in 2022 after Trump endorsed him, which helped him beat GOP primary challenger Josh Mandel and Democratic nominee Tim Ryan.
Billionaire PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel was a big supporter of Vance during his Senate run, donating about $15 million—the largest amount ever to boost an individual Senate candidate, according to Politico—to support Vance, who said in March Thiel is “a very fascinating and knowledgeable person” he likes to bounce ideas off of.
A one-time Thiel employee, Vance rose to prominence in 2016 when his memoir chronicling the social, economic and cultural effects of manufacturing’s decline in the Ohio town he grew up in, “Hillbilly Elegy,” was released.
His campaign website lists his priorities as reducing unnecessary spending and inflation, boosting domestic oil and gas production, combating the drug and opioid epidemic, ending abortion, protecting the southern border and changing immigration policy.
Vance is a firebrand known for his sometimes controversial rhetoric: After Trump was shot at on Saturday, Vance suggested in a tweet that President Joe Biden’s campaign strategy “led directly to President Trump's attempted assassination” by suggesting Trump “is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs.”
Though Vance hasn’t always supported Trump, he has grown to be a defender of and campaigner for the former president and his ideas—including his views on trade policy and limiting foreign aid—and he has developed a close relationship with Donald Trump, Jr., who is expected to formally introduce Trump’s running mate Monday.”
It is a little more than 100 days until the US presidential election. As the shocking events in Butler, PA, show, things can change suddenly.
I have a feeling that the Democrats are hatching many cunning plans, and there will be more surprises before the election date – Tuesday, November 5th, 2024.
Who Is Currently in Charge of the White House?
I have been reflecting on the extraordinary impact of a single event in Butler, PA, this week and how such an event can change the course of history. Had Trump failed to turn his head at the exact time he did, he would be dead, and there would be even more chaos in the US. The US presidential election is important for the world because it is evident to everyone that Joe Biden is not in charge of the White House.
Jim Rickards writes a Strategic Intelligence Newsletter and published this observation earlier in the week as part of a longer article about the Trump shooting (note – bolding has been done by me):
“Who’s really in charge at the White House? It depends on the issue. When it comes to high level policy, it’s the Obama team including holdovers like Antony Blinken and Jake Sullivan and Obama flunkies on the sidelines like Susan Rice and Victoria Nuland. When it comes to technical matters that are part of the progressive agenda, the Deep State swamp creatures in the bureaucracy are in charge.
But where the presidential campaign and Biden’s determination to remain a candidate are concerned, power rests with a small cabal. The members of this inner circle are Taco Jill Biden, the convicted felon Hunter Biden, Joe’s sister Valerie Biden Owens, and a few close aides including Mike Donilon, Steve Ricchetti, Bruce Reed, Anthony Bernal, and Annie Tomasini. Donilon is the son of Obama’s National Security Advisor Tom Donilon. Bruce Reed is an old hand from the Clinton administration. Bernal and Tomasini are close aides to Jill Biden and are practically an extension of the Biden Crime Family. Ricchetti is a lawyer and one of Joe Biden’s longest serving aides.
That Gang of Eight are the only people with regular access to Joe Biden. They are the ones insisting that he’s staying in the race and issuing the propaganda that says everything is fine with Biden. Even regular White House staff such as Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, former Chief of Staff Ron Klain, advisor Anita Dunn, and Biden’s lawyer Bob Bauer cannot get close to Biden anymore given the encasement established by the Gang of Eight. Their posture can well be likened to a coup d’état in America. It’s not violent, but it is real. The Gang of Eight are running the country. Biden is a zombie.
At the same time, another gang of so-called Super Friends of Biden including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi are preparing to tell Biden he must withdraw from the presidential race for the good of the party and endorse Kamala Harris for the Democratic presidential nomination.
The shoot-out between the Gang of Eight and the Super Friends will happen by next weekend. You can think of it as the 1881 Gunfight at the OK Corral between the outlaw Clanton and McLaury brothers on one side and Wyatt, Virgil and Morgan Earp and Doc Holliday on the other. The difference is that the OK Corral featured bad guys versus good guys whereas the battle between the Gang and the Super Friends has bad guys on both sides. They’re all looking out for themselves.
Nothing public on the Democratic side will happen this week because the news will be dominated by the Trump shooting and the Republican convention. By Friday, the knives will be out for Biden.
The Democrat’s plan is to nominate Biden and Harris in an all-virtual digital roll call vote in late July ahead of their scheduled August 19 convention in Chicago. This means there will only be ten days at most between the end of the Republican convention and the Democrats’ virtual roll call. That’s a short window for the Super Friends.
Biden’s Gang of Eight may have successfully run out the clock. We’ll know more next week, but for now it appears the Dems may be going with the zombie candidate for better or worse. The Biden family may emerge the winner. The American people are most certainly the losers”.
Jim captures the complexities and some of the machinations that are afoot. Undoubtedly, the cunning globalists have a variety of clever schemes to try to herd us all into digital concentration camps. Trump, if elected, may provide a brief respite, but the permanent administrative state is hard to beat.
As of today, it seems certain that Joe Biden will not be the Democratic candidate in November.
A Longer-Term View – The Return of Jesus
As I have been considering all the challenges we face: wars, contrived climate disasters, digital IDs, central bank digital currencies, increasing surveillance and being herded into 15-minute cities, to name just a few, I have decided that it was important to take a longer-term view.
The permanent administrative state in various countries of the West and the collusion between big business and globalist groups (the UN, World Economic Forum, and private foundations) will continue to push forward a global agenda. Trump, if he returns to office, may provide a temporary reprieve from the globalist policies, but he has an extraordinary array of forces committed to defeating him and his “America first” policies.
The “climate emergency” will continue to be used to destroy Western economies, and undoubtedly, new pandemics will likely arise from the “gain of function” research that continues in microbiological laboratories. Even groups like the prestigious Royal College of Physicians have produced a “green toolkit” so that doctors in the UK can talk to their patients about climate change. The average GP consultation in the UK is around 9 minutes, and few patients will emerge from their doctors’ surgeries with a diagnosis or treatment for their health problems, even if indoctrinated about “the climate emergency”.
In 2021, it was reported by the British Medical Journal that “More than 200 health journals have called on governments to take emergency action to tackle the “catastrophic harm to health” from climate change.” It is extraordinary that the dark forces that control medicine are trying to convince us that the threat to our health was “climate change” when the real threat to our health is from the COVID-19 vaccines, public health professionals and Big Pharma.
So, I anticipate relentless progress toward implementing a “one world” system, which the apostle John wrote about 2,000 years ago in the Book of Revelation. gotquestions.org provides a helpful overview to answer the question: does the Bible prophesy a one-world government and a one-world currency in the end times? I found their article helpful in a Biblical overview of the challenging times that are coming before the return of Jesus. Gotquestions.org provides the following summary:
“The Bible does not use the phrase one-world government or one-world currency in referring to the end times. It does, however, provide ample evidence to enable us to draw the conclusion that both will exist under the rule of the Antichrist in the last days.”
Tough days are coming (whether Trump is elected or not), but the Bible provides a foundational hope if we put our trust and hope in Jesus. When He returns to govern the world with justice and righteousness, we will experience a real “new world order”. Extraordinarily, the dead will be raised and those on the earth who believe in Him will be caught up with Jesus in the air (the rapture). This is one of the most preposterous ideas of Christianity but also, according to the Bible, undoubtedly true.
The return of Jesus, or His second coming, is one of the most important but frequently ignored teachings of all branches of the Christian church. I suspect this is because the early church, which had personally known Jesus and heard Him speak of His return, anticipated this critical event would occur in their lifetime. Now, more than 2,000 years have gone by, and many wonder if this was a mistake?
“Come, Lord Jesus”
Churches that have a liturgy usually have something like this in their service. The priest or pastor says:
“Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again”.
The response from the congregation is: “Come, Lord Jesus”, taken from a verse at the end of the Bible, Revelation 22:20.
When I have been in churches where the congregation recites this verse, it is usually said with no conviction and in a monotone. You can’t help thinking that those speaking the words have no confidence in them.
It does seem that the church keeps Jesus' return secret, possibly because the idea seems so outrageous. However, the Bible describes Jesus' return as “the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).
This week, in a conversation with a friend, I was pointed to a book published in 2023 by the noted Christian author, John Piper. It is titled Come, Lord Jesus: Meditations on the Second Coming of Christ.
Figure 3. Come, Lord Jesus by John Piper
The book is worthwhile reading for those who want to understand the finer details of “the blessed hope and glorious appearing” of Jesus. However, as a summary for my readers, I will provide a few of the important points made by Piper.
John Piper commences his book with the observation that: “all Christians live between the first and second appearing of Christ. Between what he has done for us, and what he will do for us. Between what he has become for us, and what he will fully be for us.”
Piper quotes from the St Paul’s letter to Titus (Titus was one of the early Gentile converts to Christianity) about Jesus’ “glorious appearing”:
Titus 2:11-13 – “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,..”
John Piper writes: “In other words, the first appearing prepares us for the second. We have much to love about the first appearing of Christ. But as great as it was, climaxing in the cross and the resurrection of Jesus, it was all designed to bring into being a people and a new reality that would find climactic expression at the second coming.”
One of Piper’s central points is that the understanding and delight in Jesus’ return is not possible without the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit. He writes:
“…none of us will ever discern or embrace the greatness and beauty and value of the coming of Christ without the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. We may be fascinated with prophetic thoughts, or captivated by end-time predictions, or agitated by a fearful future. But none of that requires a supernatural transformation of the fallen human heart. So without the work of the Spirit, we will not love the second coming as Paul intends in 2 Timothy 4:8. We will not experience this love as a Christ-enthralled longing for his presence and glorification.” (Piper, John. Come, Lord Jesus: Meditations on the Second Coming of Christ (p. 25). Crossway. Kindle Edition.).
Piper says that the glory of Jesus is central to His return. This glory is hard to comprehend but is emphasized by St Paul in his writings. This glory will include Jesus’ rule over all the kingdoms of the earth. He writes:
“…when Jesus says that at his coming the Son of Man “will sit on the throne of his glory” (Matt. 25:31), he implies that his reign as King and Judge is part of his glory. That is what throne signifies. Implicit in this, and all other references to Christ’s glory, is his reign over all the kingdoms of the world. Christ is not coming to share his reign with competing rulers. His glory is the glory of one who sits on the throne of the universe—the “throne of his glory.” Piper, John. Come, Lord Jesus: Meditations on the Second Coming of Christ (p. 49). Crossway. Kindle Edition.
Piper’s book contains detailed dissections of Scripture, but his central idea is that at these times, when things in the world look desperate and many problems assail us, if we put our trust in Jesus, there is a “blessed hope in His glorious appearing” that sustained those in the early church (when there was terrible persecution), and should sustain us today. This section of Piper’s book expresses the extraordinary purposes of God from the beginning of the world.
“God created us for his glory at the beginning (Isa. 43:6–7); he sent his Son into the world the first time for his glory (Luke 2:14; John 12:27–28); and at the second coming of Christ, history as we know it will reach its crescendo for his glory (2 Thess. 1:10). God’s creation is a God-centered, Christ-exalting universe. World history is a God-centered, Christ-exalting history. “All things were created through [Christ] and for [Christ]” (Col. 1:16). Everything that happens, and everything that exists, is designed ultimately by God to communicate the full array of his excellencies.4 He “works all things according to the counsel of his will” (Eph. 1:11). But that is not the heart of the matter. The heart of the matter is that this ultimate purpose of God’s glorification in Jesus Christ happens most fully and climactically when God’s people experience his glory as profoundly marvelous.” Piper, John. Come, Lord Jesus: Meditations on the Second Coming of Christ (p. 56). Crossway. Kindle Edition.
We do not know when Jesus will return, and as I wrote a few years ago, many have tried to predict various dates, and all have been wrong. Piper concludes his book by warning Christians of the danger of deception and also highlights the risk of complacency (all seems well at the moment!).
“One crucial aspect of our walk in the last days is that we should be especially alert to deception. This is because, as both Jesus and Paul make plain, satanic deception will intensify as the end nears. Jesus highlights this danger first when the disciples ask him, “What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (Matt. 24:3). His first words, and his repeated words, relate to deception…” Piper, John. Come, Lord Jesus: Meditations on the Second Coming of Christ (p. 260). Crossway. Kindle Edition.
The concluding question, then, is: how should we live? Piper writes:
“My conclusion, therefore, is that Jesus’s repeated command that we be awake, ready, on guard, watchful, and vigilant is not because the second coming will take obedient disciples off guard, but because spiritual stupor results in being oblivious to what is happening in the world, and thus being surprised and trapped and ruined. The uncertainty of the time of Christ’s return functions to warn all of us to be spiritually alive and awake and sober because the alternative is a spiritual condition that will be blind to signs and will not be able to recover from satanic stupor when “the lightning . . . lights up the sky from one side to the other” (Luke 17:24). Any presumption of Christ’s delay to justify worldliness puts a heart in a position of spiritual suicide.” Piper, John. Come, Lord Jesus: Meditations on the Second Coming of Christ (pp. 257-258). Crossway. Kindle Edition.
I have only scratched the surface of John Piper’s magnificent book, but I hope that I have been able to provide my Sons of Issachar readers with a taste of Piper’s key ideas and perhaps stimulate an interest in learning more.
As we survey the real difficulties that are coming our way from the globalists and their desire to reduce the population, surveil us and control us, there is a longer-term hope that it is important for us to hold close.
Jesus will return at just the right time and it is good to be one of His friends.
ARTICLES THAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION THIS WEEK
Islamist Intimidation is poisoning our politics
Danny Cohen is a former director of BBC television, who left the organization, which he said was institutionally antisemitic. He now writes for the UK Telegraph. His column written this last week was important following the UK election, which installed the socialist Labour Party under Sir Keir Starmer. At the elections, there was a voting block for Islamist candidates and we are seeing similar Islamist voting lobbies throughout the West.
Since 7th October 2023, tens of thousands of Islamic supporters have taken to the streets of Great Britain (and the campuses and streets of other countries in the West) to demonstrate support for Hamas. With the rise of Islam in the UK, Senator JD Vance has even joked about the UK being the first Islamist country with nuclear weapons!
Cohen wrote last week in a column titled: Islamist Intimidation Is Poisoning Our Politics that:
“The intimidation started on the streets. On October 7, as Jewish families were being butchered by Hamas terrorists, Islamists celebrated in London. They danced with joy and flew Palestinian flags from car windows…..Alongside peaceful protestors, there have been those who have proudly worn Hamas insignia, called loudly for the destruction of the State of Israel, repeated genocidal chants, and ripped down posters of kidnapped children.”
Mr Cohen highlights the intimidatory tactics of various Islamist agitators during the UK election. There are similar threatening events taking place around the world. As politicians try to negotiate their way through the morass of multiculturalism, there must eventually be a reckoning that the values of Islamism are in opposition to all that the West has fought for.
Mr Cohen concludes his Telegraph article as follows:
“…we must all take note of this growing threat to the democratic and civil values that we hold so dear. It is not just Jews who must be aware of the threat of Islamism. Any movement that is defined by intolerance, sexism and prejudice is a danger to us all and should be treated as such by everyone who wants to preserve a free and peaceful society.”
The Pfizer Papers: Pfizer’s Crimes Against Humanity - Publication 10 September
Dr Naomi Wolf has been one of the relentless prosecutors of the case against the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. Under her direction, a team of researchers has dissected the analyzed information that the US government and Pfizer sought to keep secret. As data became available, information has been published on Dr Wolf’s website, the Daily Clout. Together with Steve Bannon, initial evidence about adverse effects of the Pfizer mRNA COVID-19 vaccine was published as an e-book.
Dr Wolf is now about to bring out a new book titled: The Pfizer Papers: Pfizer’s Crimes Against Humanity which will be published in early September and can be pre-ordered. This is Dr Wolf’s description of the book.
“The Pfizer Papers features new reports written by WarRoom/DailyClout research volunteers, which are based on the primary source Pfizer clinical trial documents released under court order and on related medical literature. The book shows in high relief that Pfizer’s mRNA COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial was deeply flawed and that the pharmaceutical company knew by November 2020 that its vaccine was neither safe nor effective. The reports detail vaccine-induced harms throughout the human body, including to the reproductive system; show that women suffer vaccine-related adverse events at a 3:1 ratio; expose that vaccine-induced myocarditis is not rare, mild, or transient; and, shockingly, demonstrate that the mRNA vaccines have created a new category of multi-system, multi-organ disease, which is being called “CoVax Disease.”
Dr Wolf has been courageous in continuing to expose the dangers of the mRNA vaccines despite the organized opposition against her. I recommend all readers pre-order the book because it is important to understand how a biological agent that damaged people’s health was approved and continues to be recommended. The adverse impact of the injections are still being hidden by the mainstream media but as Dr Wolf says: “It’s a crime against humanity”.
Current State of the War Against Hamas
The Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies is an Israeli policy and research centre at Bar-Ilan University. The Center publishes research and analysis papers. Last week, a paper was published titled: The Iron Swords War: The Strategic Balance So Far and What’s Next. The paper provides a useful overview of the current strategic situation in Israel’s war against Hamas. The paper has the following important assessment:
“..internal divisions and struggles in Israeli society are reemerging around issues that create a fault line between supporters of the coalition and the government and the opposition and its various groups. To the previous issues of controversy has been added the issue of the hostages and the cessation of the war against continuation of the war and military pressure. These issues are being argued in an atmosphere of acute crisis of confidence among large contingents of citizens who do not believe the existing leadership is doing enough to free the hostages.
Ten months after the attack, Hamas, even if greatly weakened and without its grip on parts of the Gaza Strip, remains the only ruler in the Strip.”
In summary, the author (Professor Eitan Shamir) writes:
“Ten months after the surprise attack by Hamas on October 7, it is possible to assess the strategic achievements of the antagonists. In addition to inflicting heavy casualties and many wounded on the Israelis, Hamas succeeded in undermining Israeli society and causing divisions within it on the issue of the hostages. Hamas also succeeded in undermining Israel’s international status. Israel’s economic situation has been severely damaged and continues to deteriorate. Hamas brought the Palestinian issue back to center stage as a condition for a regional settlement, and recruited the Iranian proxies, mainly Hezbollah and the Houthis, for a war of attrition against Israel. Perhaps its greatest achievement is the evacuation of the populations of Jewish settlements within sovereign Israel for the first time since the establishment of the state.”
The attack by Hamas has exposed great weaknesses in the Israeli defense system. There have also been long-standing political differences in Israeli society, as is evident from the five national elections between 2018 and 2022. These differences will be difficult to resolve as Israel seeks to secure its borders in a region where enemies surround it on every side.
